Addons Headache in 3.02 Patch

A whopping 1.2 gig patch to get you ready for the adventure in Northrend is finally done and running. A whole new features and changes have been implemented which will take us some time to learn and adapt. On top of that, the moment you log in to the game you will find out that most of your addons are not going to work =( It happens with a new major patch.

A site like wowinterface.com offers a guide to downloading addons that work with 3.0 patch. And when you head on to curse, they also have some addons guide for 3.0 patch. Or you can find new and updated addons at WowUI.

As of this writing there are some favorite addons which are not working or tuned right yet. Among them is Cartographer ( the replacement for your ingame map and you can make custom notes and more) The altest Cartographer is version v2.2 but it’s only good for showing coordinates at the moment, the waypoints setting is broken. And if you’re a fan of Auctioneer, you have to go with Auctioneer Advance, for the classic is no longer supported nor working with the new patch. The other most commonly used addon is Questhelper, here is a link for the version 0.62 which will work with the patch. (Before downloading, please read the comments from the user which you can find them when you scroll down a little bit).

Good luck in hunting for the new addon fixes :) The new patch (3.03) is scheduled to drop before the expansion hit, so get ready for more headache if not heartache. ;)

Epic Party

Blizzcon is back!!

They usually hold the conference in every two-year, but now they’re holding the conference again in October 10-11, 2008. People assumed that this is a good and healthy sign of the WoW progress which reach almost 11-million subscribers worldwide.

So if you decide to take the trip, I suggest to plan early and keep your eyes on the ticket sale. Because last year, I was one of the lucky ones who bought the ticket in the first three day when the ticket went on sale before it’s sold out. They will certainly be out in 280% speed-quick.

Baby murlock was handed out for attendees in 2005 Blizzcon and Murloc suits at 2007, for 2008 they haven’t announce it, but you can bet it is a make-your-firend-envious kind of gift. The conference itself span into 2 days meet and you’re paying $100 for both days. So save up, it’s all worth it!

Should you be going, please do tell the guildies who might also get lucky and attend the epic party so we can get together and have a blast!

Picturesque of past Blizzcon can be found here.

I am priveledged to have been trusted with Salandria, the future Blood Knight of Silvermoon. The service of showing her around to places is nothing comprared to the honour of a chance to be able to be in part of shaping her (even only a tiny bit) on her journey to become The Blood Knight.

Today is the time to bring her back to the Orphan Matron Mercy but it seems very hard to let her go after all the time spent with her, knowing her character, her curiosity, her laughs, her spontaneous reaction, especially when Tauren Chieftain met her in Silvermoon.

When all has been said and done, I will miss her dearly.

The night was a clear cloudy night … When I ventured into the Caverns of Time to challenge an instance called Old Hillsbrad Foothills (Durnholde). The group consists of a Paladin (tank) Shaman (Healer) Rogue (DPS) Shadow Priest (DPS ME!) and a Mage (DPS/CC) the group seemed impossible to beat and it was with only 3 people dieing in the whole entire run we were victorious in saving Thrall!

Drops:

Lieutenant Drake Dropped Ravenwing Pauldrons

Captain Skarloc Dropped Scaled Greaves of Patience

Epoch Hunter Dropped Mantle of Perenolde

It wasn’t any good for anyone in the group but we did have tons of fun and not to mention me hitting level 67! :) The quest that Thrall gives to guide him out of the Instance gives outstanding rewards! The quest is Escape From Durnholde and the follow up was Return to Andormu which gives the quest reward I wanted … Tempest’s Touch. So overall it was a great run … i hit level 67 I got to have fun and I also got my nice gloves at the end … All is well.

Successful Running of da Bulls

Cenarion Circle server was crowded with the bulls on Saturday, May 4th. All the bulls (around 630 plus according to one of the event coordinator Big Red Kitty who also made around 200 purple shirts for the run). The run was a very successful one the eyewitness accounts can be found in pictures and videos (here is the link for picture story and other who took the picture and here for the video of the run)

The run has ended but the impact is tremendous, read the reaction of the parents of Sharvan (the friend who passed) here.

The Kingdom Horde has also posted their condolences on the article above, read comment here.

If you want to participate in remembering her, this is what they expect us to do, in their own word:

We will honor my daughter’s memory on the night of May 17th. If you find yourself with a moment to light a candle in the darkness, whisper a “moo” to the moon, and wish her well on her journey, I know it won’t go unheeded.

Running For A Cause

There will be an event held by BRK (Big Red Kitty) in collaboration with Ratshag of Need More Rage in memory of their friend who passed. The event is going to take place in Cenarion Circle server at 4 pm server time this Saturday (May 3, 2008).

They are going to be a bull run from Mulgore to Hammerfall, in order to participate you have to roll a Tauren on that server, join the run and say ‘moo’ along the way. Head to their blog sites to get more information.

It seem like it’s going to be one fun run.
